Mid-Year Report
(2011-2012) Land Trust Summary:
Lake Powell School has proposed that Land Trust money allocated to Lake Powell School be used to help increase student literacy. We propose to do this by promoting reading literacy through a functioning library.
If Lake Powell School receives additional funding we propose to use the money to fund a classroom teaching assistant. We feel more one on one student instruction will help our school acheive our goal of greater student literacy.
The majority of the 2011-2012 Land Trust Plan is a continuation of the plan that was proposed during the 2010-2011, school year. Area parents wishing to have greater input into the Land Trust Plan or other plans are encouraged to run for our schools Community Council. Elections for Community Council members are scheduled for the fall of each school year.
